  • Day 1 - Arrive in Arusha

    When you arrive at the Kilimanjaro International Airport, look for one of our guides holding a sign with your name on it. After introductions, you’ll be driven to your hotel room at the Arusha Mt. Village. Tucked within a lush forest at the base of Mount Meru, this hotel features a collection of cottage-style rooms that reflect a timeless, colonial-era charm. (B)

  • Day 2 - Arusha – Lake Manyara

    Drive to Lake Manyara and spend the afternoon viewing wildlife before an exquisite dinner. (B,L,D)

    After breakfast, our staff drives you to the famous Lake Manyara, a sparkling pocket of water that Ernest Hemingway once called the “loveliest” lake in Africa. Enjoy lunch while savoring spectacular views at the Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge and then experience wildlife viewing in the wilds of this incredibly diverse national park. Spot bright-pink flamingos, zebras and perhaps even tree-climbing lions that slumber on the branches of acacia trees. Stop en route at Ol Duvai Gorge – a remarkable paleontological site that has helped scientists better understand human evolution.   • Day 5 - Serengeti National Park

    Capture more spectacular photographs of wildlife with the ceaseless beauty of the Serengeti as the backdrop. Today is an opportunity to explore more of these iconic plains. Watch for big game in the distance or simply look up into the trees and spot rare and exotic birds. Serengeti National Park is also known for its annual migration of more than one million wildebeest, which provides an unforgettable experience. Return to the lodge after a full day of adventure and enjoy dinner before bed. (B,L,D)

  • Day 6 - Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area

    Depart the Serengeti towards the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area. Explore the Ngorongoro, filled with lions, elephants, rhinos and other wildlife. (B,L,D)

    After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area. This is a special place, filled with lush plains, sparkling lakes and some of the most diverse wildlife in the world. Our staff takes you up the massive Ngorongoro Crater, a World Heritage Site, and then to the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge before delving into a remarkable biosphere that has withstood the test of time.

    Explore saltpans, a fresh water lake, swamps, forests and more. This is also one of the few places where you can see the ‘Big Five’ game animals: lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards and buffalo. After a picnic lunch on the crater floor, drive back to the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge for dinner and relaxation. (B,L,D)

  • Day 7 - Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area – Departure

    Our staff drives you back to Arusha, where a decadent farewell lunch will be waiting for you. Spend your last day here shopping or exploring nearby attractions.

    Transfer to the airport and then fly to Nairbori to connect to your flight back home. (B)
