Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival in Kasane and onto the Chobe Game Lodge
Upon arrival at Kasane International Airport, you will be met by a representative from Chobe Game Lodge and transferred into Chobe National Park. The drive to the lodge is short, and wildlife sightings often begin along the way.
After settling into your room and enjoying some time to relax, depart in the late afternoon for your first safari experience, a sunset boat cruise on the Chobe River. The river attracts large concentrations of wildlife, especially elephants and buffalo that gather along the banks, as well as hippo, crocodile, and abundant birdlife. The gentle pace of the boat allows for excellent photography and a peaceful introduction to Botswana’s wilderness as the sun sets over the river.
Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner overlooking the Chobe River.

Day 2 - Chobe National Park Safari
Spend the day exploring Chobe National Park with morning and afternoon game drives from Chobe Game Lodge. Chobe is known for its exceptional concentration of wildlife, particularly its large elephant herds, often seen gathering in impressive numbers along the riverfront. The park is also home to buffalo, giraffe, zebra, antelope, and strong predator populations including lion and leopard.
Morning drives offer cooler temperatures and active wildlife, while the afternoon safari continues into the golden evening light when animals return toward the river to drink. The changing landscapes of riverfront, woodland, and open plains create diverse wildlife viewing throughout the day, with excellent birdlife adding to the experience year-round.

Day 3 - Fly to Savute Safari Lodge at the Savuti Channel
Begin the day with an optional early morning sunrise boat safari on the Chobe River, when the soft morning light and cooler temperatures create excellent wildlife viewing opportunities along the riverbanks. After breakfast, transfer to Kasane Airport for your light aircraft flight over the landscapes of northern Botswana to Savute Airstrip.
Upon arrival, meet your guide and depart on a game drive toward the lodge, with your first introduction to the Savute region’s dramatic landscapes and wildlife along the way. After lunch and some time to relax at camp, head out again in the late afternoon for an evening game drive. Savute is known for its strong predator sightings, large elephant populations, and ever-changing scenery of open plains, marshes, and dry channels. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 - Safari in the Savuti Region
Early mornings in Savute begin with coffee and light snacks before departing on a morning game drive through the region’s open plains and dry channels. Wildlife sightings may include elephant, lion, hyena, giraffe, antelope, and sometimes cheetah or wild dog. Return to the lodge for breakfast overlooking the waterhole, where animals are often seen throughout the day.

Day 5 - Fly to the Okavango Delta
After a morning light aircraft flight into the Okavango Delta, arrive at the airstrip serving Camp Okavango and transfer by boat to the lodge through the Delta’s channels and waterways. After settling into camp and enjoying lunch, depart in the afternoon on a boat safari, exploring the quiet waterways of the Delta while searching for wildlife, birdlife, and the changing colors of the landscape in the late afternoon light.

Day 6 - Exploring the Okavango Delta
Begin the day with an early morning boat ride through the waterways of the Okavango Delta to a nearby island for a guided walking safari. Exploring the Delta on foot offers a different perspective of the bush, with opportunities to track wildlife and experience the region’s smaller details alongside your guide. Depending on conditions, sightings may include antelope, giraffe, elephant, and abundant birdlife.
Return to camp for lunch and time to relax before heading out in the late afternoon for a mokoro ride through the Delta’s narrow channels. Gliding quietly through the reeds in a traditional dugout-style canoe is one of the Okavango’s most iconic experiences and a peaceful way to explore the waterways and surrounding wildlife.
