Location & Landscape
Chobe Game Lodge is located within Botswana’s Chobe National Park, directly on the banks of the Chobe River, offering one of the most accessible and wildlife-rich safari settings in Southern Africa. As the only permanent lodge situated inside the national park itself, the property enjoys a prime location with uninterrupted river views and immediate access to the surrounding wilderness. The Chobe Riverfront is renowned for its large concentrations of wildlife, especially during the dry season when animals gather along the water’s edge.
Wildlife Experience
The Chobe Riverfront is famous for hosting one of the largest elephant populations in Africa, with herds often seen crossing the river and gathering along the floodplains. Guests regularly encounter buffalo, giraffe, zebra, impala, kudu, hippo, crocodile, and a wide variety of birdlife. Predator sightings can include lion, leopard, hyena, and occasionally wild dog. River safaris provide exceptional close-up wildlife viewing from the water, while the surrounding woodlands and plains offer rewarding game drive experiences throughout the year.
