Location & Landscape
Kyambura Gorge Lodge is set on the edge of the dramatic Kyambura Gorge near Queen Elizabeth National Park, surrounded by rolling savannah, volcanic crater landscapes, tea plantations, and dense riverine forest hidden deep within the gorge below. Originally a coffee-processing plant, the lodge overlooks sweeping views of the park and the distant Rwenzori Mountains, creating a setting that feels both wild and deeply rooted in the local landscape.

Guests may also encounter elephants, buffalo, hippos, lions, leopards, antelope, and abundant birdlife during safari activities in Queen Elizabeth National Park. The nearby Kazinga Channel is particularly rich in wildlife and bird species.
Accommodation
Kyambura Gorge Lodge features a small collection of luxury bandas and suites positioned privately along the hillside with views across the savannah and gorge. The accommodations combine contemporary African design with local materials, handcrafted furnishings, spacious bathrooms, private terraces, and comfortable lounge areas. The atmosphere is intimate and personalized, with accommodations designed to feel connected to the surrounding landscape and community.

The lodge blends rustic elegance with modern comfort through the restoration of the original coffee-processing structures and the use of natural stone, wood, thatch, and locally crafted décor. Open lounges, gardens, and panoramic terraces create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere with a strong sense of place. The property feels authentic and community-oriented while still offering refined comfort and attentive service.
