Nile Safari Lodge is set along the southern banks of the River Nile within Murchison Falls National Park, surrounded by riverine forest, open savannah, and sweeping views across the water. The lodge enjoys a peaceful and scenic setting where the Nile becomes the center of the experience, with hippos, elephants, and abundant birdlife often visible directly from the property. The atmosphere combines the calm rhythm of the river with the untamed landscapes of Uganda’s largest national park.
Wildlife Experience
Murchison Falls National Park is one of Uganda’s most diverse safari destinations, home to elephants, lions, giraffe, buffalo, leopards, hippos, crocodiles, and a wide variety of antelope species. Boat safaris along the Nile provide exceptional wildlife viewing from the water, while the nearby falls create one of the park’s most dramatic natural spectacles. Birdlife is particularly rich, including the iconic shoebill stork in select areas of the park.
Accommodation
The lodge offers a collection of luxury bandas, family villas, and exclusive-use residences positioned privately along the riverbank. Accommodations feature spacious indoor-outdoor living areas, private decks overlooking the Nile, elegant bathrooms, and natural materials that reflect the surrounding environment. Selected villas include private plunge pools and expanded lounge spaces designed for families and small groups.
Design & Atmosphere
Nile Safari Lodge combines contemporary African design with warm natural textures, locally inspired craftsmanship, and open-air living spaces. Wood, stone, thatch, and soft neutral tones create an atmosphere that feels elegant yet relaxed, with a strong connection to the river and surrounding wilderness. The lodge balances refined comfort with a peaceful safari atmosphere shaped by the constant presence of the Nile.
Activities & Experiences
Guests can enjoy game drives, boat safaris to the base of Murchison Falls, birdwatching, nature walks, fishing excursions, community visits, and guided hikes to viewpoints overlooking the falls. Sunset cruises on the Nile are a highlight of the experience, while the park’s diverse habitats allow for varied wildlife encounters both on land and water.

Nile Safari Lodge can be reached by domestic flight from Entebbe to nearby airstrips followed by a road transfer through the national park, or by scenic overland drive from Kampala and Entebbe.
