Simbambili Game Lodge is located within the private Sabi Sand Game Reserve in northeastern South Africa, surrounded by open savannah, acacia woodland, dry riverbeds, and waterholes that attract wildlife throughout the year. The lodge overlooks a frequently visited waterhole and enjoys uninterrupted views across the bushveld, creating a strong sense of immersion in one of Africa’s most celebrated safari regions.
Wildlife Experience
The Sabi Sand Reserve is world-renowned for its outstanding leopard sightings and close wildlife encounters, and Simbambili offers excellent access to the reserve’s rich ecosystem. Lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, hyena, wild dogs, and a wide variety of antelope species are regularly encountered during safari activities. The private reserve setting allows for off-road driving and more intimate wildlife experiences led by highly experienced guides and trackers.
Accommodation
The lodge features a small collection of spacious luxury suites positioned privately along the edge of the bushveld. Accommodations include large bedrooms, elegant bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers, private viewing decks, plunge pools, fireplaces, and open lounge areas overlooking the surrounding landscape. Access
Simbambili Game Lodge is accessed via scheduled or charter flights from Johannesburg to nearby regional airstrips, followed by a road transfer into the reserve. Overland access is also possible through the Greater Kruger region, with the journey gradually transitioning into the landscapes of the Lowveld and surrounding bushveld.
