Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival in Nairobi
Situated 160 km south of the equator, Nairobi is the capital of Kenya and boasts one of the finest climates in the world. This modern, cosmopolitan city is the regional headquarters for many African and Indian Ocean businesses. With delegates attracted here from around the world, they come for the friendliness of the people, the modern hotel facilities and the vast array of fascinating options available throughout the city. Although the "City in the Sun‟ is relatively young by global standards, it has fascinating history capturing explorers, missionaries, wars, cultural diversity and politics etc, each leaving their mark on the city center in some way.

Day 2 - Journey to Samburu Reserve
Begin your exploration of Kenya as you journey north from Nairobi through rich farmland and ever-changing landscapes toward Samburu Reserve, located on the rugged and arid edge of northern Kenya. Arrive at camp in time for lunch, followed by your first afternoon game drive in this remote and wildlife-rich region known for its unique species and dramatic scenery.

Day 3 - Exploring Samburu Reserve
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in Samburu Reserve, with all meals and overnight at your camp. This rugged and scenic region, home to the Samburu people, is known for rare northern Kenya species including the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, and long-necked gerenuk. The life-giving Ewaso Nyiro River attracts abundant wildlife and birdlife, creating one of Kenya’s most distinctive safari landscapes.

Day 4 - Drive to the Chimpanzees of Ol Pejeta Conservancy
After breakfast, drive to Sweetwaters, a sheltered oasis set around a waterhole within the private Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The camp blends classic under-canvas safari ambiance with comfortable accommodations. Wildlife here includes elephants, giraffes, zebras, impalas, and many other species. You will also visit the 200-acre chimpanzee sanctuary established by the Kenya Wildlife Service and the Jane Goodall Institute, home to rescued chimpanzees undergoing rehabilitation.
Ol Pejeta is also known for its rich birdlife, with nearly 400 recorded species across the savannah and riverine forests. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive before returning to camp for dinner and relaxation.

Day 5 - Journey to Lake Nakuru National Park
Continue your journey to Lake Nakuru National Park, home to one of Africa’s most famous soda lakes and renowned for its rich birdlife, including seasonal flocks of Greater and Lesser Flamingoes. The park is also known for its rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, and excellent chances to spot leopards. Arrive with an afternoon game drive before continuing to your comfortable lodge overlooking the lake for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 - Welcome to the Mara
The Maasai Mara is Kenya’s most famous wildlife reserve and formed part of the setting for the film Out of Africa. It is the classic African savannah, with open grasslands, abundant wildlife, and spectacular scenery stretching across the horizon. In this remarkable landscape, wildlife moves freely while the Maasai continue their traditional way of life alongside nature.
You will enjoy two days of wildlife-viewing opportunities in the Maasai Mara, often referred to as the “Jewel of Africa” and home to one of the world’s most remarkable wildlife migrations. The reserve supports an extraordinary variety of wildlife, including lion, cheetah, elephant, leopard, black rhino, and hippo. Birdlife is equally impressive, with more than 500 recorded species including ostrich, sunbirds, larks, and the colorful lilac-breasted roller.

Day 7 - Maasai Mara National Nature Reserve
Today, continue exploring the unforgettable Maasai Mara with both morning and afternoon game drives. All meals are included at the lodge. The reserve is known for its rolling grasslands and the Mara River, which flows through the landscape from north to south. Covering approximately 1,812 sq km (700 sq mi), the Maasai Mara forms part of the greater Serengeti ecosystem and supports an extraordinary concentration of wildlife throughout the year.
The region is especially famous for the seasonal movement of vast herds of wildebeest and zebra across the plains in search of fresh grazing. The Mara is also home to one of Africa’s highest concentrations of cheetah, along with elephant, giraffe, leopard, hyena, and the region’s well-known black-maned lions.

Day 8 - Homeward Bound
Enjoy one last chance to photograph the beautiful Mara sunrise before driving back to Nairobi. Continue to the airport for your international flight home, bringing your East Africa safari adventure to an end.
