Hoanib Valley Camp is set within the remote Hoanib River Valley in northwestern Namibia, surrounded by vast desert landscapes, rugged mountains, dry riverbeds, and shifting dunes. Wildlife Experience
The Hoanib Valley is known for its rare desert-adapted wildlife, including elephants, giraffe, oryx, springbok, mountain zebra, and the elusive desert-adapted lion. Brown hyena and occasional cheetah sightings are also possible in the region. Wildlife viewing here is less about density and more about the remarkable adaptation of animals surviving within one of Africa’s harshest environments. Access
Hoanib Valley Camp is typically accessed by light-aircraft flight from Windhoek or other safari regions in Namibia to a nearby airstrip, followed by a short transfer to camp. The flight over Namibia’s desert landscapes, mountains, and dry river systems is itself one of the highlights of the journey into this remote region.
