Royal Chundu River Lodge is set along a peaceful stretch of the Zambezi River upstream from Victoria Falls, surrounded by riverine forest, small islands, and quiet channels where hippos and elephants are often seen along the shoreline. The lodge enjoys a private and tranquil setting, offering a slower and more intimate experience of the river away from the crowds of Victoria Falls town.
Wildlife Experience
While Royal Chundu is not a traditional safari camp inside a national park, wildlife is an important part of the experience. Elephants frequently move along the riverbanks, hippos drift through the channels below the lodge, and birdlife is abundant throughout the year. Access
Royal Chundu is located approximately 30 km / 19 mi from Livingstone and is reached by a scenic road transfer from Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport. The drive takes about 40 minutes and gradually transitions from town into a quieter riverside setting along the Zambezi.
