Six Senses Bhutan

Six Senses Bhutan is a unique collection of five lodges located across the country’s most beautiful valleys: Paro, Thimphu, Punakha, Gangtey, and Bumthang. Each lodge has its own architectural style and personality, inspired by the landscape and cultural traditions of the region, yet all share a focus on wellness, comfort, and thoughtful design.

The accommodations are spacious and contemporary, with natural materials, warm wood tones, and large windows that frame views of forests, mountains, or valley farmland. Suites and villas often include terraces, fireplaces, and generous bathrooms designed to create a relaxing retreat after a day of exploring. The lodges are intentionally small, allowing for privacy and a more personal level of service.

Each property includes a restaurant, lounge areas, and a wellness center. Dining focuses on fresh ingredients and seasonal menus, combining Bhutanese flavors with international cuisine. Guests can enjoy traditional dishes alongside lighter contemporary options, often prepared with local produce sourced from nearby farms.

Wellness is an important part of the Six Senses experience. Each lodge features a spa offering treatments inspired by traditional Bhutanese healing practices, as well as meditation spaces, yoga sessions, and holistic wellness programs designed to complement the peaceful surroundings.

The lodges are also well positioned for cultural and outdoor experiences. Guests can visit monasteries and dzongs, walk through rural villages, hike to remote temples, or attend local festivals. Nature walks, mountain biking, and guided cultural visits are commonly arranged, offering travelers a deeper understanding of Bhutan’s landscapes and traditions. Staying at several of the lodges during one journey allows visitors to experience the diversity of Bhutan while maintaining a consistent level of comfort and service throughout the trip.
